The foundation for the collaboration is a profound love and respect for music that gives both members a hunger for the exploration of new music. Niki & The Dove är en svensk indietronica-duo från Stockholm, bildad i februari 2010.Musikduon består av sångerskan och producenten Malin Dahlström (musiker) och producenten Gustaf Karlöf. Malin Dahlström and Gustaf Karlöf form the duo Niki & The Dove, an acclaimed band with great respect for music that is noticeable in their exclusive mix tape for The Forumist. Originally the tape was meant to consist only of ballads, but it ended up as something completely different. Malin and Gustaf was first brought together in Gothenburg, where they played together in different bands before forming Niki & The Dove in 2010 and releasing the debut single ‘DJ, Ease My Mind’.

Something, outside yourself, of course. So Niki and the Dove, we have created a band here, and we try to put things into this band, into this name, and we see that it is filling up with things. Along with Björk, Kate Bush is a spiritual fairy godmother to Niki and the Dove, particularly on "Tomorrow," where Dahlström's vocals evoke a similar ethereal passion -- but then again, the playful "Love to the Test" sparkles like a prime Stock Aiken Waterman production, and shows that Dahlström and Karlöf think that falling in love is just The lineup: Malin Dahlström (vocals), Gustaf Karlöf (keyboards), Magnus Böqvist (drums). Prior to being the front woman, Malin was programming for midaircondo, singing lead in now-defunct rock band The Dora Steins, contributing wispy vocals to various electronic productions, and doing solo shows and performance art all around Sweden under the name Disdishdance.
